About The Learning Laboratory, LLC
At the Learning Lab, we strive to be different from other educational centers. Here, we have individual tutoring, Orton Gillingham instruction, Preschool and Kindergarten Enrichment classes, after school reading classes and "Make Your Own Class" (in case you don't see what you need in our brochures or website). We also provide Academic Summer Camps and our popular JumpStart program (August). All of our teachers are highly qualified and state certified (unlike some centers who use "in-house" training and "certifications"). At the Learning Lab, we know that students learn differently and at different paces. We use a hands-on, direct teaching approach which assists students in integrating and recalling what they have learned.
Owner/Director Polly Scott holds an undergraduate degree from Elizabeth College in Elementary Education and a graduate degree from Caldwell College.
